Sunday 6 February, Sunday 6 March
Introduction to birdwatching
9.30am - 11am
This practical introductory session will help you identify different birds and to understand more about them. The walk lasts for an hour and a half, followed by breakfast in our cafe. £20. Price includes breakfast. Price does not include admission to the centre. Booking is essential: call 020 8409 4400.

Saturday 12 - sunday 13 February
Love Birds
1.30pm - 4.30pm
A personalised bird box would make a perfect gift for your Valentine (or for anyone really!). Come along and decorate your own bird box together to take home - or build a feeder to help the birds get through the winter. Costs vary depending on material used.

Saturday 19 - Sunday 20 February
Reptiles Undercover!
10am - 4pm
Discover the secret world of reptiles! Meet snakes, turtles, lizards, hissing cockroaches and millipedes. The big stars of the indoor show will be making a special appearance on Sunday 20 February at Crocodile Encounters where you'll be able to meet a crocodile and an alligator(tickets free but limited). Find out their behaviour, how they've evolved and adapted and why many are now under threat. All undercover so it'll be a great day out whatever the weather!

February half term
There will be a packed programme of children's activities, including a fun art workshop inspired by our beautiful World Wetlands birds. Their colours and patterns will be used to create leaves on a big tree sculpture.

Digiscoping
10am - 11.30am
Find out how to get amazing, close-up images of wildlife by combining your camera with a telescope! Limited places. £10 per person. Booking essential: please call 020 8409 4400.

Saturday 5 March
Race against time - how we saved the world's rarest duck from extinction
12 noon - 1pm, Theatre
WWT has been working to save the critically endangered Madagascar pochard. Peter Cranswick, who works on the project, will describe the battle to rescue this bird.

Sunday 6 March
Conservation in Scotland - otters, wildcats and more.
12 noon - 1pm, Theatre
Adrian Davis from Wild Outdoors will talk about the conservation of wetlands (and other) wildlife in Scotland.

Sunday 6 March
Pantanal and other adventures
2.30pm - 3.30pm, Theatre
Wildlife photographers MAtt and Will Burrard-Lucas describe their journeys around one of the world's biggest wetlands, the Pantanal in South America.
